  • The Things That Make It All Worthwhile.....

  • We have not got the VCE results yet, but for 3 of our year 12 Drama / Theatre students and 1 ex student it no longer matters.

Joel McDonald, Marie Claire Tchernomoroff, Maddie Wooster and Steve Fleiner have all come through the gruelling auditions and call backs for the University of Ballarat to be accepted into the Performing Arts or Musical Theatre courses. 5 of our students applied this year, one I have not heard from yet. Out of the hundreds of applications to have 4 out of 5 to get accepted is a bit special!

Well done to the rest of the wonderful BSSC performing Arts Team this year - Sue Johnson, Ellen Kate Waayers & Kirsten Thomas, especially to EK and Kirsten for having to jump in at the deep end at mid year when we were suddenly understaffed and for doing such a wonderful job. How envigorating pride is!

Don't forget you can see Joel and MC in 'The Rooms' this weekend. Tickets are selling very well, so although you can get them 'at the door', it is best to book if you want to be with friends as their are only 5 audience members per room, per show. Last rehearsals each night this week.... it promises to be a treat! It will also be the last chance you can get to see the magnificent St Aidan's Orphanage before it is renovated into contemporary units.

10.00am, 11.00am, 12.30pm & 1.30pm both Sat & Sun. $10 per ticket. Book on 0417 418088, or buy tickets direct from The Wine Bank, Glen Loddon Homes, or at the door.

  • Youth Science Forum in 2005
One of our students, Jake Weragoda participated in the National Youth Science Forum in 2005. Read all about Jake's experiences in Pretoria and his travels to Africa as part of National Youth Science Week. You can also read another article by Jake by clicking here.
