This morning Jenni’s EAL VPC class cooked up a storm with the team from Bendigo Foodshare.

Today’s task was making as many chicken curry meals as possible for people in need in our community.

Caroline McLaren, who leads Bendigo Foodshare’s Cooking for Change program, said that the group worked very well together.

“These students have good cooking skills and you can tell they know what they’re doing in the kitchen,” Caroline commented.

“They have had a lot of fun today and worked exceptionally well in a busy kitchen in an extremely short timeframe.”

The EAL class were joined by some of BSSC’s international students—it was great to see a group consisting of so many different cultures working together on a common goal.

80 meals were made today – well done everyone!
