BSSC Students selected for the 2020 National Youth Science Forum had their first real taste of NYSF when they attended an orientation session at Swinburne University on Sunday.
Science teacher Jane Fong accompanied the students, who also met Rotary District 9800 Governor Grant Hocking.
Rotary is part-sponsoring the six students to attend NYSF sessions in Brisbane and Canberra in January.
“Rotary District 9800 stretches all the way from Brighton in the south to Echuca in the north and has 40 places allocated for NYSF,” Rotary Youth Director Lynne Cooper said. “For BSSC to have six students selected is a massive achievement.
“It is an enormous voluntary undertaking by Stuart Cardell and his District Science Programs committee—and all the Rotary clubs in our District 9800 who support the students.”
