AFL Premier League v Essendon Keilor College
Our Premier League football team took on competition leaders Essendon Keilor College at Craigieburn on Wednesday. In perfect conditions for football the boys started very competitively in the first quarter and trailed by only 7 points at the first break. Essendon Keilor had a slight breeze at their backs in the second quarter and dominated the play to kick seven goals to two, and went into half-time leading by 38 points. The BSSC Lions came out after the break and applied tremendous pressure throughout the third quarter to kick 4.2 to 4.1 and could easily have been much closer than the 37-point three-quarter time deficit. Essendon Keilor kicked away again in the last quarter, but once again our boys fought the game out right to the final siren.
