Our boys and girls volleyball teams were both successful at yesterday’s Sandhurst Division competition.


The BSSC girls and boys volleyball teams have progressed to the Loddon Mallee Region Finals after winning their respective Sandhurst Division competitions.

Our girls team defeated Marist College in their first game 20 – 14, 20 – 10, and then followed up with a comprehensive win over Catherine McAuley College 20 – 1, 20 – 14.

Well done to team members Laura Bawden, Mackenzie Brouwer, Ruby Doherty, Ella Hobson, Moo Moo Ku, Amy Lomas, Michaela McLeod, Ella O’Donnell, and coach Julie Clyne.

Our boys’ team also finished undefeated with wins over Castlemaine SC 20 – 16, 20 – 10, Catherine McAuley College 20 – 14, 20 – 9, and Girton 20 – 11, 20 – 13.

Well done to team members Jakob De Salvo, Cody Draaisma, Harrison Frischke, Zeke Kettle, Hsar K’Paw Moo, Ciaran Noble, John Poloso, Malakai Sevudredre, Hsar Lay Wah, and coach Paul Malloy.

Both teams will travel to Mildura on Monday 26 April for the Loddon Mallee Region Finals.

​​​​​Each year, talented Victorian School students have the opportunity to trial for a place in the School Sport Victoria (SSV) Team Vic State team.  Selected students participate in annual School Sport Australia (SSA) Championships including the Pacific School Games (PSG) held every second year.  These championships offer gifted and talented students the opportunity to participate in higher levels of sporting competition against students from other Australian States and Territories.

Registrations are now open for some of the following sports in 2021. Please follow the
links below to find out more about the registration process and timelines.

Baseball boys/girls under 18 years – registrations now open, close on 8 April

Basketball 18 years and under – registrations now open, close 13 May (boys) and 20 May (girls)

Bowls 18 years and under – registrations opened 1 March 2021

Diving 10 – 19 years – registrations now open, close 22 August

Golf 18 years and under – registrations now open, and close on 10 May

Swimming 10-19 years – registrations now open, and close on 27 April

Soccer girls 18 years and under – registration opening date to be confirmed

Triathlon 17 – 19 years – registrations now open, and close on 25 March
