BSSC Student Council President, Caitlin Allman, is one of four Australian students accepted to attend the Michigan Math Science Scholars program from the 25th of June to the 7th of July this year. She was selected from a group who attended the National Youth Science Forum in Canberra in January and has a message for Year 11 students: “It’s absolutely amazing. You should go!”

“The opportunity to attend the international event will allow me to broaden my knowledge of science while feeding my passion for medicine,” Caitlin said. “I hope to take part in a medicine-based learning program while I’m there.”

Getting to the United States is the tricky bit for Caitlin.

“I have a ‘go fund me’ page for people to make donations to and I will also be selling chocolate boxes this term in various locations.
