NETschool learners had the perfect finale to their 2022 art exhibition this morning when Federal Member for Bendigo, Lisa Chesters MP, paid a visit to Dudley House.
For this year’s exhibition the learners responded to the theme ‘Real & Imagined’ with the resulting photographs, drawings, digital drawings and mixed media installations highlighting the creativity and resilience of each exhibitor.
Ms Chesters, who provides financial support to the NETschool exhibition each year, chatted to learners about their artworks, before sharing with the students just how much she values her connection with NETschool.
She was then presented with an artwork created by learner, Aya Cusick—a stunning painting of a dragon.
“Rather than going straight in the pool room, I’ll be hanging this in my parliamentary office in Canberra,” she said. “IT will be a great conversation starter for me to talk about Bendigo the great work being done here at NETschool.”
