The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a Medicare program that offers families up to $1000 per child (aged 2-17) over two years to cover the costs of some dental services, if eligible.  If your child has turned 18 this year, they will be eligible to use their $1000 before the end of 2019.  The dental services covered include examinations, x-rays, cleaning, fissure sealing, fillings, root canals and extractions. Orthodontic and cosmetic dental work is NOT covered by the program.

The college is fortunate to have secured the services of local dentist Dr Luke Vale offering free dental screenings to all BSSC students. The screenings will take place at the BSSC Wellbeing Centre on Wednesday 15th May and Wednesday 22nd May.

Students can book an appointment at the General Office, OR parents/carers can call 5443 1222 to schedule an appointment on behalf of their student.

See attached letter for further details about CDBS.
