Alumni Profile
When you were a student, what did you want to do beyond year 12? What are you doing now?
I had no idea what I wanted to do, so I didn’t apply for university. My subjects were all things I was really interested in, but together they really weren’t prerequisites for uni. When I finished school I started working full-time at my local pharmacy in Castlemaine where I’m now the Manager. I absolutely love it!
What do you love about the work you do?
I love all my regular customers and work colleagues. We’re one big happy family! I love that I am challenged daily.
What’s one of your most vivid memories of your time at BSSC?
Just the atmosphere of the college and seeing everyone every day.
Was there a particular teacher or staff member who inspired you?
Bronnie (Psychology) and Jane (Indonesian)—both always made the classes fun, fresh and interesting!
Were you involved with any extra-curricular activities?
I was part of a Christian group that met at lunch times.
Knowing what you know now, what advice would you offer your 16-year-old self?
Never miss an opportunity to make a difference in someone’s day—no matter how big or small.
