Year 11 Business Management students put their learning on display today at an in-class Business Expo. For the past month, students in Jinari Mountain’s class have been developing their business ideas from scratch—creating a product and brand, exploring their target market, advertising strategies, sales breakdowns, and designing a website which they presented to their peers at today’s expo.
There was an incredibly diverse range of businesses on display, including a fashion company producing Anti Workwear, an on-line style consulting service, a music store and recording studio, a travel company specialising in sporting events, a specialty coffee house, a boutique building company, a specialist parma restaurant, a sporting goods store, a contemporary clothing label based on traditional Karen clothing, and an eco-friendly, niche coffee company designed to save an endangered Indonesian species.
Students had the opportunity to critique one another’s business ideas, make positive suggestions, and gain valuable tips and ideas they could apply to their own businesses.
