After a year of major events being cancelled, there was an extra buzz of excitement in the Ulumbarra Theatre today for BSSC’s Got Talent.
The annual talent showcase is the culmination of BSSC’s ParticipACTION Week and features some of the finest young talent in Bendigo.
There were many outstanding performances in this year’s showcase, including Jade Cuskelly whose emotionally charged version of ‘Burn’ from the musical Hamilton took out first place.
Uzzielle Santos’s heart wrenching cover of Olivia Rodrigo’s ‘Traitor’ was an audience favourite, while Sonnie Hannaford took out third place with a moody rendition of ‘Feeling Good’.
Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists who gave their all on the Ulumbarra stage:
Amelia Bailey – ‘If I Love You’ from Carousel
Sonnie Hannaford – ‘Feeling Good’
Marnie Coulson – ‘I Want’
Uzzielle Santos – ‘Traitor’
Amber Chong & Ciaran Noble – ‘Tea Stains’
Jade Cuskelly – ‘Burn’ from Hamilton
Expressos (Band) – ‘Straight Lines’
And a huge thank you to our host Jakoby Appleby and judges: Bronnie Bishop, Angie Pollock and Lainie Lockwood.
