At the Adelaide Convention Centre this evening, BSSC was named the Gold recipient of the School Pathways to VET Award at the 2022 Australian Training Awards.
The college has been recognised as a leader in the VET sector, not only for its impressive range of VET courses, but its integrated delivery approach that allows students to undertake VET cohesively with other parts of college life, learning and individual support.
Principal Dale Pearce said the award reflected the teamwork that goes into a successful VET program.
“It is a great acknowledgement of the consistently high level of service delivery and ongoing innovation in our program development,” he said. “It’s also recognition for our industry partners, college staff, and our students. The relationships and networks that have been developed through VET training are highly valued by the college and the broader community.”
Jennifer Moloney, Assistant Principal – VET & RTO Partnerships, said the focus for the college programs is about providing inclusive, personalised opportunities for students to gain industry related skills and knowledge, to build their pathway options.
“We strategically focus on building clarity about the place and purpose of VET. BSSC works with the local community to develop shared understandings and a collective commitment to building training and education pathways that provide a sustainable workforce for our community.”
