In the midst of munching wholegrain cherios and animated mealtime conversations, today’s Breakfast Club gathering was rather bittersweet.
On the one hand the club can celebrate their recent successful application to join the Victorian School Breakfast Program. This has linked BSSC into Foodbank Victoria and means supplies just became more varied that ever before.
However, today is the last BSSC breakfast for six weeks as Victorian schools head back into remote learning due to tightening of COVID-19 restrictions.
Thankfully most Breakfast Club food has a long shelf-life.
And a big shout out to Ebby Ledwidge who volunteered her time on Friday to help get everything ready for today’s enhanced breakfast program.
