If you’re convinced fast food is an easy street to happiness, you’re probably thinking with your taste buds rather than your brain.
The science of happy foods points to ingredients that aid the production of serotonin—the happiness hormone we all need to stay mentally well.
So while you might not be a fan of spinach—which is high in the building blocks of serotonin—take heart! Bananas, chicken, eggs, cheese, dark chocolate, pumpkin, fresh fruit, nuts and seeds are all great ways to kick-start and maintain good levels of serotonin.
