Dear Students and Parents/Carers

COVID-19 restrictions in regional Victoria ease from 11.59pm tonight and schools will resume face to face teaching and learning tomorrow. We’ll be delighted to welcome everyone back on site!

A range of health restrictions remain in place including the compulsory wearing of masks indoors AND outdoors for staff and students, limits on visitors and some controls over activities including camps and excursions. Essentially we are returning to the restrictions we had prior to last Friday. We will let you know if the Department of Education and Training advises us of any further changes.

The General Achievement Test (GAT) will proceed this Thursday as planned for students doing a Unit 3/4 subject and only those students need to attend school on that day. No other classes will be running on that day. The GAT commences at 10.00am and students are strongly advised to arrive around 9.20am to allow time for checking of ID etc.

Students doing the GAT will receive an email on Tuesday with details of the room where they will sit the GAT. In today’s Advisor meeting students were reminded of the GAT rules and the need to bring photo ID and their VCAA number (these are contained on the BSSC student ID card). Students cannot take mobile phones, smart watches, other electronic devices or bags into the GAT. If there is any change to arrangements for the GAT we will advise you as soon as possible.

In addition to the GAT, this Thursday we are also running parent-teacher interviews. Advice about how to book appears in your Compass ‘My News’ feed.

We look forward to welcoming students back tomorrow.

Yours faithfully

Dale Pearce

Principal
