BENDIGO HIGH SCHOOL
BENDIGO SENIOR SECONDARY COLLEGE

Centenary Celebrations October 5 to 8 2007
The celebrations for the Centenary of Bendigo High School and Bendigo Senior Secondary College occurred with wonderful support from former students and staff, and with the aplomb befitting the college which has played such a significant role in both Bendigo and in Victorian State education over the last 100 years. The public Celebrations were held from Friday October 5 to Sunday 7, with student celebrations being held on Monday October 8.

Friday 5th October
Visual Art Exhibition
The Exhibition featured the works of students currently studying Unit 3 & 4 Art or Studio Art. They were privileged to be part of the Centenary Celebrations and have their work admired by students past and present. The exhibition was on display from October 5 to 18. The official Opening was held on the Friday afternoon.

The judges were, appropriately, Geoff Paynter, President of Old Gold Bendigo and a practising artist, and Jessica Bridgfoot, Director of Alluvial Gallery. Both judges are past students from this school and brought with them a diversity of experience and interest in the visual arts.

Due to the generous funding from Old Gold Bendigo, there was a record number of acquisitions this year.
